Mattie Lee Davis, 85, of 4925 14th Avenue, Columbus, GA died Friday, March 14, 2008 in Columbus.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 21, 2008 in the Chapel at People’s, 1604 Talbotton Road, with Rev. Willie L. Hill, officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery according to People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis was born March 29, 1922 in Harris County, GA daughter of the late Willie Howard and Carolyn Reese. She was a homemaker and member of Greater Beallwood Baptist Church. She was the widow of Mr. Willie Davis.

Mrs. Davis leaves to cherish her memory a step-daughter Patricia Warren(Clarence) of Columbus; 5 grandchildren Robert Davis(Quwana), Terrell Davis, Michael Threatt(Gayle), Antonio Davis, Andre Threatt(Maria); 2 devoted cousins Virginia Truitt and Vernita Jordan; nephew, Leonard Reese, Jr. (Jeanette); niece, Betty Sue Starks; a host of other relatives and friends.
