Mrs. Willie Pearl Odom, 88, of 1621 Dudley Avenue, Columbus, GA died Monday, March 31, 2008 at Vistacare at Franciscan Woods. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Pinehurst Baptist Church, Columbus, with the Pastor Rev. Tony R. Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery according to People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc.
Mrs. Willie Pearl was born April 21, 1919 in Webster County, GA daughter of the late Eugene and Wilma Mae Hawkins Cox. She was a member of Pinehurst, a Christian woman who loved God and the widow of Joe Spencer Odom. She was preceded in death by a daughter Rosa Toombs, son, John Henry Odom, two sisters, Mildred Dix and Louise Scott, and two brothers, Eugene Cox and Arthur Cox.
Left to cherish her memories is two daughters, Bernice Odom (Lenwood, Jr.)Copenny and Rethema Odom (Stanley) Lipscomb; six sons, Jeff Dyous, Lima, OH, Felton Dyous, Boston, MA, Ernest Odom, Joe Don Odom, Freddie (Gloria Jean) Odom and Howard (Hanna) Odom all of Columbus and a host of grandchildren, great, great grandchildren other loving relatives and friends.
