Mr. Oscar C. Menefee, 67, of Ideal, GA, formerly of Columbus, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Magnolia Manor, Ideal, GA.
A Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Sunday, April 27, 2008 in the chapel of People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, 1604 Talbotton Road, Columbus, GA with Pastor Delta Tucker officiating.

Oscar C. Menefee was born April 9, 1941 in Opelika, Alabama son of the late William H. Menefee, Sr. and Lucy Noble Menefee.
“Preacher Man” attended Spencer High School and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He was a landscaper.
He leaves to cherish his memories 1 daughter, Theresa Menefee Stokes of Columbus; 1 granddaughter, Zsakia Q. Randolph; 2 brothers, Nathaniel Menefee (Lou Ann) of Fayetteville, NC and William Menefee, Jr. (Delores) of Augusta, GA; 4 sisters, Annie B. Hardaway of Columbus, Joann Baldwin (Willie) of Delray Beach, FL, Catherine Hardaway (Sanford) of Columbus and Beatrice Baker (A.C) of Waynesboro, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
