Mr. David Antione Cossey, 29 of 2200 Hunter Ct, Columbus, passed Sunday July 13, 2008, at Columbus Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 18, 2008 at Greater St Mark AME Church with the Rev. B. A. Hart officiating and where Rev. K. C. Williams is Pastor according to People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc., 1604 Talbotton Road. Visitation will be today from 1:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Cossey was born January 6, 1979 in Columbus, son of David Caesar Cossey and Shirley Davis. David was a 1997 graduate of Central High School and was employed with Smith Gray Electrical Company for 11 years. David received certification from Columbus Technical College with a concentration in electrical work. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater St Mark. David was preceded in death by grandparents Rev. Julius Caesar, Willie Lou Cossey, Mary E. Jones and uncle, Michael Jones.
Left to cherish his memories are his parents David Caesar Cossey and Shirley (Rick) Davis; sons, David Damarione, Michael and Marcus all of Phenix City, AL; fiancé, Tiffany Sumbry, Phenix City; a sister, Jacqueleen Cossey, Atlanta, GA; a brother, Corey Davis, Columbus; 5 great aunts, 3 great uncles, 9 aunts, 4 uncles; best friend James Dowell and a host of cousins, other loving relatives and dear friends.
