Mr. Fredrick J. “Junkyard Dog” Holloway, 55 of 2708 Dawson Street, Columbus, passed Sunday July 20, 2008, at Doctors Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, August 1, 2008 at People’s Funeral Service Chapel, 1604 Talbotton Road. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until 5:00PM today at the funeral home.Mr. Holloway was born July 12, 1953 in Russell County, AL son of the late Homer and Minnie Bell Smith Holloway, Sr. He was employeed for several years for the City of Columbus and was best known by many as a disk jockey, “Junkyard Dog”.
Left to cherish his memories are 3 sons, Fredrick J. Holloway, Jr., Frederick A. Holloway, and Christopher Holloway; 5 daughters, Tawanda (Myland) Thomas, Fredrica Holloway, Lawanda Thomas, Patricia Ogletree and Tiffany McBride; 2 brothers, Homer J. Holloway, Jr. and Lester Holloway; 2 sisters, Catherine Holloway and Amy Miles, a special friend, Nancy Washington; 16 grandchildren; and several other loving relatives and dear friends.
