Quincy Orlando Hammons
Mr. Quincy Orlando Hammons, 13 of 3037 Waddell Drive, Columbus passed Sunday August 31, 2008, at Columbus Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Abundant Life Full Gospel Outreach Church, 6001 Buena Vista Road, Columbus with the Rev. Melvin Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Old St John Cemetery, Waverly Hall, GA according to People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc. 1604 Talbotton Road. Visitation will be from 12:00PM until 6:00PM Friday at the funeral home and from 9:00AM until the funeral hour at the church on Saturday morning.
Mr. Hammons was born May 6, 1995 in Columbus son of Allen Tells and Alicia Hammons. He was a 7th grader at Fort Middle School and had recently made the football team.
Left to cherish his memory other than his parents include a brother, Christopher Thomas; 4 sisters, Khadijah Paschal, Andrea Little, Kimberly Little and Lorranie Thomas all of Columbus; grandfather Thomas Little; aunts Classie Little, Mary Jackson, Cynthia Bell and Tempis Bell; uncles, Charles Oliver, Knoxville, TN, Marcus Little and Marhon Little and host of cousins and other loving relatives and dear friends. Special thanks to Fort Middle School Principal Sonja L. Coaxum and staff and the Columbus Community for all support and prayers during this most difficult period. Contributions may be made at any CB&T branch to the Quincy O. Hammons Memorial Fund.

I did not know Quincy, but he sounds like a wonderful youing man. No words can take away the grief and sorrow you are feeling. Lean on the Lord and trust that He is in control.
I know what you are feeling. We lost our 16 year old son in a car accident on August 8, 2008. It helps to recall the good memories.
A scripture that helped me was Isaiah 57:1-2.
1 Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why.
No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come.
2 For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.
Your family is in our pryers. May you find peace and comfort in the days to come.
