When I must leave you for little while, please do not grive and shed wild tears and hug your sorrow to you through the years, but start out breavely with agallant smile.

  7. Ann Drucker October 1st, 2008 10:55 am

Perry was a dear and caring neighbor and friend. I always felt safe knowing that Perry lived next door to me! He had joined my family’s Thanksgiving celebrations every year since his first wife’s passing. And once Perry and Maria married, she too became part of our gatherings. All of my extended family cared deeply for Perry(and Maria) and we will miss him as we gather together to give thanks this year for our many blessings. I extend my sincere heart felt thoughts and prayers to Perry’s family and loved ones.
With love, Ann(and my Mother, Margaret)

  29. Charmagne Wallace October 8th, 2008 12:46 pm

Oh Auntie, I’m so sorry. Please let me know if there is anything I can help with. I know we’re a little far away, but please let me know if there is anything you need.

I know he was in pain a lot of the time and so uncomfortable with his current condition. I know it’s hard to think that way when you’re missing him, but Uncle is in a better place now. I know you said when this finally happened, that you would celebrate his life – and not be sad. I hope you can still remember that when you get to feeling sad or lonely. He was lucky enough to be able to do the things he wanted to. He enjoyed the life he was given. Like somebody said: Let us pass over the river, and rest in the shade of the trees. Well that’s what he’s doing. We’ll all be together again one day, and he’s got to rest up for when you get there!!

We’re so lucky we were able to spend time with him last month. He was so fortunate to have you Auntie. You took such good care of him.

I love you Auntie, and I’ll keep you and Uncle (and the rest of his family) in my prayers.

    Love,
    Charm and family

    Aloha Maria,

It’s interesting to know that you have Perry’s ashes with you as I still have Cliff’s ashes with me too.

I am taking my time about taking him “home” to Hawaii to the Punchbowl Cemetery. Probably next year or 2010. I like having him home with me for now.

Can’t believe it’s been 2 and 1/2 years since he went to be with our Lord, 1/11/06.

My prayers continue to be with you.

    Ke Akua me ke Aloha,

    Malia,

We both were very sorry to hear about Perry’s passing. We only hope that
he didn’t suffer. I didn’t really know Perry that well. Outside of meeting
him when you two got married, I only talked to him a few times over the
phone. But from those conversations I was convinced that he was a pretty
nice guy. I’m sure you will miss him.

If there’s anything we can do to help, please let us know.

Only God holds the mysteries of the universe, and the deepest intricacies of love and life. What He did leave us to know is that He is good, faithful, and true. I thank God that He allowed my wonderful grandmother to be cared for so beautifully by a kind and loving man.

Grandma, you and Perry’s children and grandchild are in our sincerest and most humble prayers. I am confident that He will give you continued strength, guidance, and wisdom as you journey.

God bless you, Perry, and although you’re missed I am sure that nothing compares to the endless peace and precious light that surrounds you now in heaven.
