Mrs. Clarine Thomas, 72, 2416 7th Street, Columbus passed away November 1, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas will be held 12:00 Noon Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in the People’s Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Pricilla Wilson, officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery according to People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc. 1604 Talbotton Road, Columbus. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas was born January 31, 1936 in Salem, AL daughter of the late Prince Ella Blackmon and Robert Cook.  She was employed by the Muscogee County School District in the Cafeteria.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Thomas, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are a son; Roderick Bernard Thomas of Columbus; 3 daughters, Vanessa Thomas Polk (Johnny) of Orlando, FL, Blondell Thomas Hughes Jackson of Columbus and Shirley Thomas Jones Spivey (Roger) of Cusseta, GA; 5 brothers; 3 sisters; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 5 sisters-in-law; 4 brothers-in-laws; nieces; nephews, relatives and friends.
