Mr. Brad Jackson, Jr., 77, of 9051 Jackson Road, Midland, GA died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Hamilton House Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church, 222 5th Street, Columbus with the Pastor Rev. Dr. J.H. Flakes officiating. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery with military honors according to People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc. 1604 Talbotton Road. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until 7:00PM Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson was born August 10, 1931 in Columbus, GA son of the late Brad and Carrie Edwards Jackson, Sr. He was a United States Army Veteran, retired from LTV Steel in Cleveland, OH and worked for Lafleur Transportation Company. Mr. Jackson was a member of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church and loved fishing.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Viola Jackson, Midland, GA; a son Bernard (Lydia) Jackson; 4 daughters, Fatina Joyce (Donald) Larkin, Joyce Simpson, Sherra Jackson and Sonja (Garrick) Norfleet; 20 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and dear friends.
