Ms. Clara B. Smith, 66, of 1525 26th Street, Columbus, GA passed Saturday, November 29, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Thursday, December 4, 2008 in the Chapel at People’s Funeral Service of Columbus with the Rev. Alonzo Whitaker officiating according to People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc. 1604 Talbotton Road. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until 6:00PM today at the funeral home.

Ms. Smith was born August 29, 1942 in Columbus, GA daughter of the George and Emma Davis Gibson. She was employed with Pine and Oak Manor 15 years and was affectionately known as Bay.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a son Charles Gibson; 3 daughters Sherry Gibson, Deborah Gibson and Cathy (Tommy, Sr.) Butler; 2 brothers, Bobby (Lavern) Gibson, Columbus and David (Mary) Gibson, East Point, GA; a sister in law Catherine Gibson: 4 grandchildren, Tommy II, Brandy, Eric and Jessica; an aunt Amy Gatewood, several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
