Virginia Johnson, 53, formally of Newark, NJ, died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the Columbus Hospice House. Ms Johnson was born October 21, 1955 in Essex County, NJ daughter of the late Claudia B. and John H. Johnson, Sr. Virginia attended pubic schools in Newark and earned a Catering and Gourmet Cooking Diploma. She started V.J Catering and was employed with the Veterans Administration Hospital in East Orange for 15 years. Left to cherish her memories are sons Keith Johnson, Sr. and Tahir W. Johnson; a sister Velvelin Johnson; brothers Earnest, Earl, Charles(Cynthia), Reginald and Larry(Denise) Johnson 7 grandchildren ; step mother; grandmother ; in laws and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and dear friends according to People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc. 1604 Talbotton Road. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 27, 2009 in Newark with burial in Fairmont Cemetery.
