Mr. Willie George Seldon, 75, of 7860 Fulton Road, Upatoi, GA died Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Fountain City Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Hopewell Baptist Church, Upatoi, with Rev. McGee officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery according to People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc. 1604 Talbotton Road. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00PM until 6:00PM followed by a family hour from 6:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Seldon was born May 20, 1934 in Harris County, GA son of the late Jessie and Johnnie Mae Jones Seldon. He was retired from General Motors in Detroit, MI. He leaves to cherish his memories 3 daughters Loretta(Darrion)Mitchell, Columbus, Jacqueline Seldon, Argentina(Calvin)Joyner and Felecia Branch all of Detroit; sisters, Charlie Rea Hopkins, Newark, NJ, Mary F.(John)Dunkin, Landover, MD and Alliene Seldon, Columbus, brothers, Rev. Eugene(Ella)Seldon, Americus, GA, Jessie James(Teresa)Seldon, Jr., Columbus and Johnny(Ernestine)Seldon, Newark, NJ; 15 grandchildren; 5great grandchildren ; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
