Mrs. Valerie D. Mahone, 54, of 5949 Cordova Road, Columbus, died Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Oak View Home, Waverly Hall, GA. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Springfield Baptist Church Waverly Hall, GA with Pastor Larry Holley officiating. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery, Columbus according to People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc. 1604 Talbotton Road. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mahone was born April 17, 1955 in Flint, MI daughter of the late Elmore Holley and Mrs. Lessie Moore of Flint, MI. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was a member of Springfield Baptist Church, singing in the choir. She leaves to cherish her memories other than her mother, her husband, Clifford Mahone, Columbus; 2 sons Clifford Mahone, Detroit, MI and Brian Mahone, Columbus; 3 daughters, Sherri(Alvin)Marshall, Savannah, GA, Kelleye(Ray)Elmore, Stafford, VA and Nicole Payton, Atlanta, GA; 5 brothers Larry(Colean)Holley, Terry Holley, Kenneth Holley, William Holley and Brian Holley all of Flint, MI ; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, other relatives and dear friends.
