Marvin ”Goat” Williams, 63, of 2425 Williams Road, Columbus, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Vistacare at Franciscan Woods.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday , November 11, 2009 in the Chapel at People’s Funeral Service with Pastors Paul Milton and Pledge Jones, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Beallwood Cemetery according to People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc. 1604 Talbotton Road. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00am until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams was born March 29, 1946 in Columbus son the late Colquit ”Ike” and Essie Lee Simpson Wright. Preceding him in death are 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
His memories will be cherished and kept alive by his children, a son, Lee(Carol)Gardner; 2 daughters, Millicent(Thedius)Burden and Johnjulyn(Alphaeus)Newman; 3 sisters, Adell Brantley, Martha Lilly and Minnie Carter ; 3 sisters in law Willie Pearl Williams, Mattie Williams and Pearl Lee Williams; a brother in law, Ulysses Lilly; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a loving companion Faye Haynes and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
