Beverly,
I am deeply saddened at the loss of Brother Joe. I first met Joe when he served on the Board of Education. We met again when he became the DS of the Statesboro District. He was a fine, Christian man who “walked the walk” and loved to serve his Lord and his fellow men. He will be surely missed by all who knew him.
May God bless and keep you and your family during this trying time.

To Beverly Roberson and Family
God in His infinite knows just how much we can bear for there is a time and place appointed to each of us. Pastor Roberson was a Mighty God-fearing minister and did the work set before him. It is with much saddness and heartache that I say farewell until we meet again in the city not by human hands. Pastor, was a visionary that did the work God annointed him to do- to be absent from the body is to present with the Lord. In the time alloted Pastor changed many lives including mine and God is still working his will for me. Thank you and your family for sharing this Awesome man of God with so many.
Rev. Roberson will deeply be missed by our family. There is so many things that we can say about this great man of God. Thank you to the Roberson Family for sharing such a wonderful man with the community and also with our family. Rev. Roberson made us feel like we were part of his family every time we were in his surroundings and he will be missed. Beverly we’re praying for you and the family that God will comfort all of you in this time of sorrow. We love you and always remember God loves you and we will be in touch. May god bless all of you and keep you lifted in this difficult time in your lives.
There are no words to describe our sorrow, but we acknowledge God as a healer and look forward to the day when we can once again speak of our beloved without the present degree of pain.
Jeremiah searched the house and web to find resources with Uncle Joe’s voice and or likeness just to hear his laughter and positive encouragement.
We will miss him greatly, but we will look to the hills daily for all our help comes from the Lord. There is still work to do, and many unsung songs, unpreached sermons and unspoken prayers for this family.
I WAS SORRY TO LEARN OF REV ROBERSON’S DEATH. HE WAS ONE OF THE FEW IN THE CITY THAT SUPPORTED FATHER ROY BOURGEOIS, FOUNDER OF THE MOVEMENT TO CLOSE THE SCHOOL OF THE AMERICAS. HE OPENED HIS CHURCH FOR OUR USE. I HAVE THANKED HIM IN THE PAST & WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIS KINDNESS. I PRAY THAT GOD WILL COMFORT HIS FAMILY & CARRY THEM WHEN THEY CANNOT WALK. Dear Beverly, Angela, Martin, Joseph,
Words just can not express our longing for just one more opportunity to sit and share a meal and a laugh in the presence of Joe and you. So very human of us to believe that there will always be time to do that later…we ache for you and acknowledge to you that it is our responsibility to assure that Joe’s life here on earth will be an eternal one, living on through the ministries to which he was called – the ministries he birthed, fostered, groomed, supported, invigorated, envisioned…we pray that we will forever hear his eloquent voice booming, “OOOOHHH MYYY GODDD” in our hearts and minds. We thank you for the sacrifices you have made along this journey for his ministry and pray that in the upcoming days you might draw strength from the knowledge that you are so loved and will forever be in our prayers.
Respectfully yours,
Lamar and Donna Harper

Please accept my sincere condolences and sorrow at the untimely death of Brother Joe. He will be missed by the South Georgia Conference and all who knew him. May the Holy Spirit comfort you in your time of grief.
What heavy hearts the Statesboro District UMW have. I was so looking forward to working with Rev. Roberson. He had shared with me at our church conference a suggestion for a speaker at next year’s District UMW annual meeting. He was looking forward to attending our Board meeting, and we were looking forward to his involvement in our planning. You and your family have been in my prayers and the prayers of many UMW across the South Georgia Conference. Our prayers will continue for your peace and comfort. May God’s love surround you all through His people.
Roberson Family,
It is my prayer that you will see God in the midst of this situation. Though I did not know him personally, I share in your grief. To Nikki and Martin, be encouraged and trust in God!!! Remember there are two times to praise God, when you feel like it and when you don’t! Even though it hurts, PRAISE THE LORD!!!

Beverly,
Even though the funeral and interment has passed, I want you to know that we will forever keep you and the family in our prayers.
My mother was a great admirer of Rev. Roberson and the ministries he started in South Columbus. When he attended her funeral in 1997, it brought much joy to my heart.
You and your family were so blessed to have God’s servant as a husband, father, and grandfather.
May Lord bless and keep you as you grieve.

Words still cannot express my sincere loss and grief, yet I am persuaded that neither life nor death shall separate us from the love of God. Aunt Beverly, Joe Jr., Angela, Martin, And Joe rest assured that these hallowed words will forever reign upon us as we behold a life birthed in us and through us for such a time as this, the Celebration of Joseph Roberson’s Life in Christ! I love you all more than my words could express but God loves us more and it will be God that shall see us through time into eternity to be with Him!
