Hazel Woods Victor
Hazel W. Victor, 73, of 4913 Mehaffey Ct., Columbus, entered into eternal rest Friday, January 15, 2010 at Columbus Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Wednesday , January 20, 2010 at Gateway Church, 3702 Buena Vista Road with the Pastor Rev. Lloyd Johnson, officiating according to People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc.1604 Talbotton Road.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00PM until 6:00PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will also be held Tuesday, January 26, 2010, 11:00AM at Gloryland Mt. Gillion Baptist Church at in New Orleans, LA, Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans. Mrs. Victor was born March 4, 1936 in New Orleans, LA daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Grady Woods. She was a member of Gateway Church and a Retired Licensed Practical Nurse, retired from Oschner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Charles Victor, Jr.; 2 daughters Karen Walton Washington, Dallas, TX and Sheryl Walton Rodriguez , New Orleans, LA ; 2 sons, Reginald Walton, Columbus and Charles(Shelia) Walton, Jr. , Houston, TX ; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters Ruby Ashley, Mary Lee Veritt both of New Orleans and Eloise Woods, Dallas, TX; a brother, Charles Wilson, New Orleans; a godchild Gaynell Stovall and a host of, nieces, nephews, adopted children both in Columbus and New Orleans and a host other loving relatives and dear friends.
