On 15 January 2006, she opened her own Hispanic Church, YHVH Nisi Christian Center, along with her daughter Lisette Mesa and under the spiritual umbrella of her spiritual parents, John and Rene Parault. Her ministerial journey in Miami, along with other ministries, left a heritage all over the world, as well countless spiritual children in Central America, South America, Africa, Europe, among others, and friends and co-servants here in Columbus and in the world. She was also the treasurer of the Fraternity of Hispanic Pastors (CPH) of Georgia and Alabama. She delighted and enjoyed the Lord through His word, songs of worship, songs of praises, and danced for her Lord. Her life will continue to impact others and is a testimony for those who knew her such as her mother, her family, and her brothers and sisters: María Cristina Martínez, Luis Eduardo Bernal, Oscar A. Bernal, Marta Evans and María del Pilar Bernal, her half brother Pastor Mauricio Bernal, her nephews and nieces, and even her cats Kitty and Patches and her lovely dog Bella.

Lissette, Boo and I have you and your family in our prayers and hearts. My mom recently passed and my 89 year old father is in the hospital now so we can relate to your pain and grief. Lissette I will never forget your mom and when I think back upon our visit to both of you on our way to Cuba and the hospitality you both showed, I am blessed again as we remember her love for us, for Cuba and for the family of God. Your mom was a blessing!! What a homecoming she received last Thursday as she was presented to our Lord!! Her life is more real and vibrant now than ever and how exciting it is to realize that we will see her there sooner than any of us realize. I will call you today…love you.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.May God bless the family at this time of sorrow.Pastor Dora will surely be missed.
Querida Lissette,
Carlos A., Carlos J. Laura y Alexandra Patricia
Sinceras condolencias de todos nosotros

Dora was a Mother to me. Although I know she is in heaven, in a better place, along with Jesus, I’ll miss her a lot. She was used by the Lord to guide and give love to everyone who met her. I’m blessed because I was able to meet her. I’ll always remember her and have her in my heart.
With all my love,

I smile knowing she is rejoicing in the very Presence of Almighty God right now and I’m sure she and my dad have caught up!
