Mr. Kevin Lynell Simmons
Mr. Kevin Lynell Simmons, 34, of Hollywood, FL, formally of Columbus, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in Hollywood, FL. A service of Memory will be held 2:00PM Saturday , April 3, 2009 in the Chapel at People’s Funeral Service of Columbus, 1604 Talbotton Road, Columbus with Brother Lonnie Atkins officiating. Mr. Simmons was born March 10, 1976 in Columbus, GA son of Beverlyn and Robert Lee Simmons. He was raised in a Christian household as a Jehovah’s Witness. Kevin’s untimely death leaves behind to cherish his memories, his mother and father Beverlyn and Robert Simmons, Columbus; sisters, Audrey, Los Angeles, CA and Shavone, Columbus; brothers, Victor, Valdosta, GA, Ivan, Columbus(Kevin’s twin) and Byron(Marian), Norfolk, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles other relatives and dear friends.

Dear Simmons Family,
Please accept my heartfelt prayers on behalf that Jehovah will give you the strength to endure this unexpected tragedy. I understand how you feel having lost a fleshly as well as a spiritual sister last year in Hollywood, Florida and my fleshly and spiritual mom the year before that in Orlando, Florida. It was only by the strength of Jehovah that our family was able to cope with such profound losses back to back. Be assured that your tears are not unnoticed by the Creator of Life. Although your deep pain will not easily disappear, praying to God will bring comfort to you as you grieve. The Bible tells us that God is “healing the broken-hearted ones and is binding up their painful spot (Psalm 147:3). May the “Father of tender mercies” and the “God of all comfort” strengthen your faith and give you courage to face the days ahead (2 Corinthians 1:3). My sincere condolences to the family.
